Making Excuses
Characters: Tono, Riko, Teacher
Teacher : Tono, why are you late again?
Tono : I’m sorry, Sir. I missed the bus.
Riko : (whispers) That’s not true. He was playing games!
Teacher : Riko, don’t spill the beans!
Tono : (to Riko) Hey! Come on, don’t make things worse. I’m already in hot water.
Teacher : So, what really happened?
Tono : Okay… I stayed up late and overslept. I guess I was burning the midnight oil… but not for studying.
Teacher : That’s not a good habit.
Riko : Yeah, your excuse is a piece of cake to figure out!
Tono : Thanks for the support… not!
Teacher : Alright, next time, manage your time better.
Tono : Yes, Sir. I’ll try to turn over a new leaf.
